5-Pointed Star: The five-pointed star is used in dozens of flags throughout the world (countries such as the United States, Australia, Brazil, China, and the European Union). According to the Greek mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras, five was the number of man, due to the five fold division of the body and the ancient Greek division of the soul. He understood that the five points of the pentagram each represent one of the five elements that make up human beings: fire, water, air, earth, and psyche (ethyr or spirit).

We must learn to maintain the balance of all these elements and to better understand how they ebb and flow throughout our being.
